Yep, there are plenty of examples of ecommerce stores outranking Amazon. It's not easy, but if you have a decent keyword with some good intent behind it, it is possible (and worth the effort). Plus you'll probably need to have a decent enough site with some domain authority. Plenty of Amazon pages are pretty poor and rank on Amazon's domain authority alone. Put together some decent content, get your on-page optimization right, and get a few links pointing at it, and you should be able to compete. Google "beard balm" and you should see a couple of sites ranking above Amazon (at least they are for me). That's a 27,000 per month keyword, so it's not small fry. I know Beardbrand isn't exactly a tiny operator - but compared to Amazon it is.

Depends what pages, what keywords and who you are. Can you outrank Amazon for your own brand name or your own products? Of course, that's the way it should be. Can you outrank Amazon for "amazon" or "kindle"? Of course not. Can you outrank Amazon for some niche product or category if you're just an affiliate site? Not impossible.

Difficult. Can you be more specific? What types of keywords would you be targeting?
