Does Webmarketing have a future ?

Hey !

I'll start studying web dev/Web design and web marketing in a few weeks, and I'll start a master degree in either Web marketing, Big Data or UX Design in a year.

I've read a post on reddit in AskMarketing, asking if Marketing had a future or not. The only answer said that basically AI will probably replace humans in that field.

What do you think about that ? Web Marketing is what I was hoping to do during my 2 Master years, but now I'm wondering if it's really worth it, I'm looking for a really exciting job in the web field, and I'm hesitating between the 3 different fields, but I want a job that will still be available in 5, 10, or even 20 years !

Sorry if it's not the right subreddit, I thought this question was really focused on webmarketing, not just marketing, hence the post here.

Thanks !

In 10 to 20 years you should be in a managerial role anyway. So even if AI is able to automate tasks, someone still needs to be the "mastermind" behind it.

The typical AI systems we interact with daily have another 5-10 years (at the latest) before jobs start being replaced cheaply and effectively.
